Thomas Krenn took charge of the Charles Vögele Group's Austrian sales organisation today. He will be responsible for both the Austrian and Slovenian markets.

Pfäffikon, 16 March 2009 – Austrian Thomas Krenn, 43, took charge of the Charles Vögele Group's Austrian sales organisation today as a member of the board of directors. He will be responsible for the Austria and Slovenia markets and a total of 155 outlets. Mr Krenn will report directly to Dr Dirk Seifert, Head of Group Sales. Michael Hofmann, who had run the sales organisation on an interim basis since 1 January 2009, will now concentrate on his role as Head of Group Retail Controlling. He remains a member of the supervisory board of Charles Vögele (Austria) AG.

Thomas Krenn qualified in retail sales and joins the Group from Cosmos Elektrohandels GmbH & CO KG in Vienna, the number two Austrian electronics retailer, where as general manager he looked after the areas of buying, sales and marketing. From January 2007 he successfully restructured the company, paving the way for the entry of a new strategic investor by introducing a new shop concept, improving the product range strategy and establishing a new marketing identity.

Before that Krenn spent 25 years with the Sport Eybl/Sports Experts Group (Austria), where as a director he ran the areas of sales, marketing and expansion for the market leader in Austrian sports retail from 1998 to 2006.
