Men

"Casual goes city" is the men's fashion motto in spring and summer 2010. It describes a sporty, urban look with new sophistication, greater versatility and added colour. This look is perfect for leisure activities or in the city. Most men can also wear relaxed, confident and stylish outfits for work.

Like their female counterparts, men also combine certain garments in surprising ways or accessorise them according to need or occasion. For example, they may wear a shirt instead of a T-shirt or leather moccasins instead of trainers to create an entirely different overall look. Summer scarves, colour coordinated belts and men's bags are also essential styling items for male fashionistas.

„Colourful“
This season's casual fashions are strongly oriented on colour, lightness and freshness.
"Casual meets chic" is the key to achieving the right look. For the most part, the silhouette remains slim. Sporty jackets focus on blousons, field jackets, light duty parkas and soft-fitted, casual sports jackets. Shirts are more versatile and imaginative than ever before. Bright colours add new pizzazz to men's fashions.

Combat and five pocket trousers in lightweight cotton are still around and fashionable jeans are also in focus. Lightness and transparency are achieved in fine knit jumpers and jackets through the use of fine cotton, or pima cotton in high quality shirts. The boundaries between sweatshirts and long-sleeved tops are becoming increasingly blurred. The addition of interesting stripes and prints with ridge effects and textured surfaces gives polo shirts a new fashionable make-over.
A maritime colour palette includes marine, light blue, red, beige, pale yellow and white with green and blue for accentuation.
